Pecan Pie

You may want to try this recipe----   it is my favorite.
Bake a pie shell 15 min---brush with egg yolk and bake 10 more min.
While shell is baking:
Melt 6 tbs. butter over hot water
Add to melted butter
1 c of brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 beaten eggs
3/4 c corn syrup
1 tbs. vanilla
Stir over water until warm
Add 1/2 c of CRUSHED PECANS
Heat the crust (if it is cool) and add above mixture and top with pecan halves
and bake @275 for 50 min.
PS: I was told that when you are pouring a hot/warm mixture into a baked pie crust---the pie crust should also be warm, this way, the crust will not be soggy.
